Easy Party Planning Ideas!

Welcome! I’m thrilled to be up on U-Create sharing one of my favorite things to do…PARTIES!!!  I just love the idea of a good party…and more importantly, what it’s going to look like!  Well, like you, I don’t have a lot of time to make my party look amazing, but I do have a product that will definitely help get you kick started or it quite possibly might be all you need! Don’t let my long post fool you–I did use more items than what is included  in the kit, but the kit alone makes for fabulous decor if you are in a rush—and, really, the whole thing ~extras and all~ took me about 3 hours!  Cool?!
I have a fabulous product to show you—they are a PARTY IN A BOX or a PARTY KIT!  Here’s a look at the Everyday Circus Party Kit and all the parts and pieces included in ONE kit!
The cutest invitations with coordinating envelopes, favor bags, favor label tags and favor decor tags, cupcake toppers, paper straws, confetti and banner pieces to create your own custom party banner {over 100 alphas and numbers to customize with}! Each set includes items for 8 guests!  Lions and Tigers and Elephants, oh my!  I love how EASY this is-all in one pack!  You can find these online at Zurcher’s Party, or at my personal little shoppe Get Fancy Studio!
So here’s my quick little set up!
I did “party” mine up a bit, but it was quick and easy!  Up first, a cute ferris wheel style item—I found the ferris wheel at a fun antique shop a couple years back, but have you seen the one’s that hold cupcakes on Pick Your Plum?  Keep an eye out for them to be available—they would be perfect for every party host/hostess!  I made this simple banner in about 15 minutes!  I used the letters and banner pieces from the kit and I also cut some of the coordinating mustache straws down to add a little extra touch on each end!  I punched some starbursts out to put behind my letters, then glued them on to the banner pieces.  The cute little character animals are not included in the kit, but they come from the scrapbook side of the line in the ephemera pack!
Next, what’s a party without party poppers…or confetti blowers?!  I love using push pops for these and they are so easy to decorate to match!  {Also found these on Pick Your Plum!}  And inside, I used the confetti that came in the kit, along with shredded paper…keep your vacuum handy!!!
And here’s an easy one…cupcakes with the coordinating toppers placed… easy!!
Here’s a closer look at the favor bags I put together for friends attending!
I also wanted to add something fun for the Birthday Boy, so I came up with a  fun little party hat using coordinating paper, crepe paper and yarn…with a few additional embellishments!
I also like to have my kiddos remember who came to the party to celebrate with them, so I create a little page with their photo on it and lots of blank space for friends to sign!  They always like reading the little notes and signatures afterwards!
Last is probably my favorite little decor piece…a hot air ballloon!  It goes along with the theme in the kit {you’ll see hot air balloons in a variety of pieces here}!  I found a cute little basket~you could use any little box here~ and filled it with some of the shredded paper, then added a little clown {also from the ephemera pack}.  Then, I decorated a tag and tied it to the basket!  Next, I crisscrossed some red bakers twine {long enough to fit my helium filled balloon} and stuck the balloon inside.  Next, I wrapped another piece of twine at the bottom of the balloon, with the other crisscrossed twine, and closed it up to create the balloon casing!  It’s such a fun design to go with this kit!
There you have a party idea, all based around one fabulous kit concept!  This kit comes in two designs, the Everyday Circus as seen in the post and the Burlaps and Bouquets Kit that is filled with cute florals, dots and burlap for weddings, babies, tea parties and more!
For more ideas and looks at our other available PARTY KITS ~AKA PARTY IN A BOX~, watch me on Studio 5!!  Thanks for dropping by!

Today I’m sharing a few little gift ideas and a free printable tag with all of you because I’m super thankful that we’re friends!  This is a great for fall and Thanksgiving, but can really be used year round!  I picked patterns and characters from Fancy Pants Designs True Friend collection—it’s so fun and fall-ish!PinnableImage

The first gift is a fabulous cable knit sweater scarf…who wouldn’t just LOVE that! The scarf is decor enough, but I topped it off with my printed tag and added a few buttons and a sticker from the True Friend line for some a personal touch!  Add your friend’s name and you’ve got a super quick and easy gift that will also come in handy during the chilly months ahead!

Up next, a little jar filled with ‘Spa Gifts’!  And yes, who wouldn’t find this useful, too?  The little jar is filled with some fall tissues, body gel and lotion and, of course, a cute decorative envelope from the True Friends products! I resized the tag to suit this smaller gift size and added another cute little chipboard accent!  I also used some fabulous tulle ribbon by Maya Road to wrap around the top of the jar.

Next is an adorable canvas bag that’s a gift in itself! Of four options, I chose the gold foil striped bag for this one, but they are all so cute, it was hard to choose!  I filled it up with some bite sized candy and cinched the ribbon up {all part of the bag} and added my tag, along with some stickers for the name!  Talk about easy–but still so cute!

There you have it… some simple ideas for a little Thanksgiving for your friends and family!

Thanks for joining me and remember to download the printable tag here!  Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Last Minute Halloween Treat Bags–Quick and Easy!

Hello!  I’m excited to share these quick and easy treat bags that we’ve been teaching throughout our area for make and takes and on the U-Create Crafts blog today!

It was also featured in the October 2014 digital issue of  Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking!  They’ve been a big hit and take only a couple of minutes per bag…super quick and SUPER fun!

So, of course, it’s not too late to make a special Halloween treat for your kids, friends and neighbors!  I’ll include a link below where you can PURCHASE a kit to make 6 of these on your own–for THIS Halloween–there’s still time!!

Here’s what you need to make these spooky little treat bags:

kraft bags

scrapbook paper (Fancy Pants Designs, of course!)

Fancy Pants Designs small Chalk Tags

Fancy Pants Designs Be Different Ticket Roll

Halloween paper straws and plastic rings from the dollar store

black string

White WATER based Sharpie (for writing on the chalk tags)

Cut your scrapbook paper to fit in the center of the bag (my main paper is cut to 4×6).  Then, cut a 2×4 strip to go across the top area and glue them down!

Next, add some glue to the bottom part of your paper straw and glue it down.  (We’re leaving the top unglued so we can slide our nifty, gifty plastic ring on top!

Next, wrap your string around your bag–all the way around the back and tie a knot.

Now, add your labeled chalk tag and your ticket (from your cute monster style ticket roll–some of the tickets have a hole and some don’t–you’ll need to punch a little hole in your ticket for the string if there’s not one!)

Now you can tie a bow,  slide a little plastic ring on top of the straw and drop in some delicious treats!  Isn’t it the cutest!? Not to mention easy!?  You could add a little more detail by using pinking sheers on the edges or a border punch!

Want to make some?  If you live in the Continental US, we can get these kits out to you ASAP….and, guess what…we’re doing it for ONLY $12 and that Includes Shipping…BARGAIN…but you must live in the lower 48 states….sorry friends that are really far away  :)…I totally love you all, but we couldn’t get them there in time!

Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Welcome to my little blog!  I’m excited to participate in a blog hop…my first EVER!  {Let’s hope I did all the set up correctly!}  I wanted to create something with one of our new releases that are coming to stores soon… just to get you all anxious and ready to run out and get some of your own!

This card was made from our collection:

I also used our silver foil  This was a super quick and easy card using our small tags, ephemera and buttons!  I also used a Fiskars border punch and my Silhouette machine!

I cut my silver foil and did the border punch along the bottom edge.  Next, I added the small black patterned tag, then added the ‘cup’ and title “you’re” using some pop dots for dimension!  Last, I added a couple of colored paper mattes behind the main piece and stitched coordinating buttons on!  It was looking a little empty next to the cup, so I thought a cute photo fit perfectly to personalize the card and match the title since my little sweeties really are “My Cup of Tea!”.

{Unfortunately, my camera battery died, so you’re getting some iPhone shots :P–not cool for NSD!}  But, it’s all I had!

I love the little ‘cup of tea’ ephemera piece…so cute!

Okay, so here’s the blog roll! Make sure you hit all of the stops and leave a comment at each stop for the chance to win this fun prize package from our Nautical Collection…just in time for Summer!!
