Life is full of unexpected twists and turns that can leave us in need of last-minute, easy-to-make card ideas. It’s one reason I adore 6×6 paper pads. Sometimes you need little more than such a small pattern and maybe an accent or two to make a handmade sentiment on the quick.
Sadly, for me this need arose when I learned that one of my best childhood friends lost her husband yesterday. I can’t begin to imagine the pain she must be feeling. A note is definitely in order, so I reached for my latest Make a Pretty Life kit and put something together using the gorgeous new Magnolia line.
This is seriously a single sheet of paper, trimmed and stitched to a cardstock base. I then reached for the awesome die cut pieces in the ephemera pack to dress it up a bit, using foam adhesive to give my sentiment a little lift.
Wanting to give my friend a little money to help with funeral costs, I also included a pocket on the inside of the card using the rest of my same single sheet of paper. Nothing wasted here.
Whether it’s a sudden loss or something far happier, such as an engagement announcement or the birth of a baby, quick card ideas are nice to have on hand. I hope this one inspires you. Stay well, friends!
Cheers!
