My daughter started kindergarten last month and has already discovered the popular phenomenon of the backpack clip! While Mom likes to keep her own purse and bags clean and un-decorated, Nemy is just the opposite, so when I found the “Alpaca my bags” Planner Charm in the August kit, I KNEW I had to make her an extra special clip with it.
I just laid out a few pieces that might be fun to layer with it, like the plain yellow label (with an ‘N’ sticker on it for ‘Nemy’) and an ‘Adventure’ tag die cut, with the aqua bling added for ultra-fabulousness.
I made a pink embroidery floss tassel, as well as 2 yarn pom-poms, and tied everything through one of the rings on the chain, securing them all by tying a double knot bow with the ends of the pom-poms. All the extra-fancy additions may not last throughout the duration of the school year, but she’s going to love it while it lasts—and the super-cute alpaca clip is sure to hang on! Besides, she’s in Kindergarten and her backpack is gently used at best—it’s mostly for decoration!!
